The twanging guitars and bass sound lovely and cloaked in pulp fiction mood, the drumming is dynamic, driving, and impressive, and the vocals really shine as their own instruments. This is like if you took Fleetwood Mac, cranked the goth knob all the way up, and danced a Totentanz while Tribulation vampirism looks in from outside the dark window and Rope Sect mourns out in the twilit field. Bonus points for my favorite album art I've seen in a while. Favorite track: Chronophobia.

adamdoom It has a very familiar, yet brand new, sound that wraps itself around my brainstem and makes itself at home. A very danceable record, an epic add to a road trip playlist, and a great companion around a bonfire on an old sony boombox while cleaning the bearings of an old gun you found. A real gem, this one. I Am The Midnight! Favorite track: And The Name Of The Star Was Bitterness.

Bucky Rumor has it that Rumours new album The Lower We Sink, The Less We Care is the hottest record out in the heavy underground for May 2022. The galloping display of retro doom meets progressive rock n roll summons the hairs on my neck with that instant gratification of pleasure with equal amount of room to grow.. Some of the meatiest guitar riffs I’ve heard all year, coupled with adventurous songwriting and accessible groove. The rumors are true. This is fan-fucking tastic!

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.
